Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Gig Unicorn (“we,” “us”) is a platform that helps musicians manage gigs, rehearsals, lineups, and public profile pages. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and (if you choose) a profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Calendar data. If you connect Google Calendar, we receive events from the calendars you authorize so we can sync them to your gigs. We store the minimum needed to display, update, and push events back to your calendar.
Contacts and musicians. Information you add about musicians and contacts (name, instrument, email, phone, notes) is stored privately to your account unless you explicitly publish it on a profile page.
Phone number. If you provide a mobile number for SMS notifications, we store it solely to deliver the messages described in our SMS Terms.
Profile content. Anything you publish on a public profile page (bio, photos, links, project sections) is intentionally public.
Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and debugging. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking.
How we use your information
- To provide the app’s core features (gigs, calendar, lineups, profiles)
- To send notifications you’ve opted into (email and SMS)
- To secure your account and prevent abuse
- To respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the service. Each receives only what they need to perform their function:
- Google — authentication and Calendar sync (Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s privacy policy)
- Twilio — SMS message delivery (phone numbers shared only to route messages)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Vercel — application hosting and file storage
- Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers in the United States. Passwords are hashed; OAuth and API tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all traffic. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
- Access and update your information in your profile and settings
- Disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your calendar settings
- Stop SMS by replying STOP, clearing your phone number, or disabling SMS notifications
- Delete your account by emailing contact@gigunicorn.com — we will remove your personal data within 30 days
- Export your data on request
Children
Gig Unicorn is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Significant changes will be communicated by email to active users.
