SMS Terms & Privacy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
What messages you’ll receive
Gig Unicorn is a platform for musicians to manage gigs, rehearsals, and lineup coordination. When you provide your mobile number, you may receive SMS messages for:
- Gig reminders — a short text before a gig you’re booked on, with the date, time, and venue
- Daily or weekly digest — an optional summary of your upcoming gigs and rehearsals
- Lineup notifications — when a leader adds you to a gig, or when details of a gig you’re on change
- Platform notifications — account-related messages (e.g. sign-in confirmations) you’ve opted into
We do not send marketing or promotional messages over SMS.
Message frequency
Frequency varies based on your activity — typically a few messages per week for an active musician, and fewer if you have no upcoming gigs. You control how much you receive through your notification preferences in your account settings.
How to opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number in the Phone for Notifications field on your profile settings page. By providing your number there, you consent to receive the messages described above.
How to opt out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS from Gig Unicorn
- Removing your phone number from the Phone for Notifications field in your profile
- Turning off SMS in your notification preferences (when available)
Reply HELP to any message for assistance. We won’t send further SMS after you reply STOP.
Message & data rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Gig Unicorn does not charge you for SMS, but your carrier might. Check with your carrier if you’re unsure.
Privacy
Your mobile number is used solely to deliver the messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. We do share your number with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) strictly to route messages to your device. Phone numbers are stored securely and are visible only to you and, in limited cases, to the leader who booked you on a specific gig.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the rest of your information.
